about a hundred years ago the pocket watches were replaced by the wristwatches. By this time not only many small watchmaker factories started to disappear, but also their know how.
The quality of the pocket watches of this period, optically and technically, is unsuppressed until today. At this time the watchmakers’ tradition was at its zenith in over then 600 years of the history of watchmaking.

When the people were forced to sell their valuables because of wars, inflations and economical crises of the last century, objects made of gold were sold on the first place.
That way many high grade pocket watches lost their cases and was not usable as complete watches any more.

Many of these valuable movements survived until today.

We have made it to our mission to give to the finest of this movements a new case.
For that purpose we provide the movements with custom made wrist watch cases, so that they could be worn on the arm.
Such large caliber watches, which are known as “marriage”, become more and more popular now. Through the large diameter and reduced number of layers the complete arrangement of parts is clearly visible. So the watches appear more fascinating and noble.
To allow the view of the back of the movement we furnish all our watches with a glass rear bezel.

Our movements are restored at our own watch making company, in a quality which is hard to find today. Only by us you will find such appropriate restoration of a “marriage”.
Unique is also our surface refinement of the cases as well as harmonically proportionate straps made by hand. Besides we enable you a luxury but also safe storage of your watch in a solid wood watch boxes.

After the restoration and customizing the case, the movement and the case will be merged, so to speak married, therefore these watches are known as "marriage".

As we have all assembly sections of a watch production combined in our house, we also can offer you the service of your watch. We would gladly design the case for your movement, restore the existent one or undertake the full restoration of your pocket watch, your clock or your mechanical instrument.
